Do you know that there has been over 70,000 chemicals introduced into our society since World War II. "Over 150 chemicals commonly found in homes have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and psychological abnormalities" according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
According to Dr. Sherry Rogers, a Leading National Toxicology Expert, Nutritionist and author of "Detoxify or Die" has commented "The body has it's own "Built in" Detoxification system; but this wonderful system was not created to deal with literally thousands of chemical assaults on our bodies".
Those statistics seem to be pretty strong reasons to go green. Also, keep in mind that our current retirees are the first generation to be exposed to these chemicals, what is the long term effect of continued use of these chemicals? Is it worth the risk? I am not a fanatic on the issue, but we still need to be concerned about our health, the health of our children and lets not forget about the environment - what are we leaving for future generations?
The time has come for me to go Green - how about you?
